We're moving to Gmail!

We can't keep up any longer. There are too many of you, and your appetite for email is voracious. We had to find something new, and we decided on Google Apps.

In short, all students will be getting a 6 GB (and counting!) mail box, calendaring, an online word processor, spreadsheet, and chat program. We'll be officially supporting mail and calendaring, but all the others are bonuses. For more information, check out our Gmail Frequenty Asked Questions page.

We'll be moving users over in stages during between now and the end of July. Until then we'll be keeping both systems in place and running. This site (http://webmail.csusm.edu/) will continue to be the place to go to get to your email. If your account has been moved to Gmail (and we'll send you an email notifying you when that's about to happen), you'll be taken to the new Gmail login site. Students who have yet to be moved will be taken to the original Squirrelmail login site.

If for some reason this page isn't accepting your username, please contact the Help Desk at (760) 750-6505, or if you have access to another email account send a message to webmail-bridge@csusm.edu.

Alumni folks, we haven't started moving your email accounts yet. This page won't work for you. Alumni email is still accessed via http://alumni.csusm.edu/webmail/.

Enter your username here, and it'll take you to the right site.

Use your campus username (e.g. smith001), not your email address.

Notice: A message has been sent around to a number of accounts on campus offering a "Webmail Upgrade". It is a phishing scheme (http://onguardonline.gov/phishing.html) - don't fall for it! Any message from us will talk about the "CSUSM Gmail Upgrade", and although we might ask you to change your password, we won't ask you to reveal it to us.

If in doubt about a message like this, you can forward it to the Help Desk at sth@csusm.edu or give them a call at 760-750-6505.
